Origin and history

The Hotel Segoy is a historic monument located in Jugon-les-Lacs, Brittany. Built between the 14th and 15th centuries, it represents an example of late medieval civil architecture. Its facades and roofs, inscribed by ministerial decree in 1975, testify to its heritage importance. The building is located at 4 Rue Saint-Malo, in the Côtes-d'Armor department (22), in the new town of Jugon-les-Lacs.

The protection of the Hotel Sévoy, effective since 5 December 1975, specifically concerns its facades and roofs, as indicated in the cadastre (parks A 193 and 194). This classification reflects the desire to preserve an architectural heritage characteristic of the medieval period in Brittany. Although available sources (Monumentum, Merimée base) do not specify its original use, this type of building was often linked to residential or administrative functions for local elites.

The location of the Hotel Sévoy, noted with an accuracy deemed "passable" (level 5/10), places the building in a medieval urban context, probably linked to the development of Jugon-les-Lacs, an area marked by its history and heritage.
