Origin and history

The Temple du Vivier-Gamelin, located in the commune of La Londe (Seine-Maritime), is a vestige of the Gallo-Roman period. This monument, whose ruins are located in the forest of the Londe, bears witness to the ancient occupation of this region of Haute-Normandie (now Normandy). The excavations and archaeological studies identified this site as a place of worship or a public building, characteristic of Gallo-Roman constructions in rural areas.

Ranked Historic Monument by order of November 9, 1922, the Temple of Vivier-Gamelin is one of the elements protected for their heritage value.
