Origin and history

The Three Menhirs de la Can d'Issenges constitute a megalithic complex located in the commune of Bédouès, in the Occitanie region. Their presence reminds us of the importance of prehistoric sites in this area of the Cevennes, although their precise dating and exact function remain unknown to date. Such monuments, erected in remote times, were often linked to ritual, funeral or astronomical practices.
