Origin and history

The Château de Nailly is a French monument located in the commune of Dammaria-sur-Loeng, in the heart of the Loiret department. This castle, whose construction period is not specified in the available sources, is part of the architectural heritage of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Its existence is attested by documentary references, especially in heritage databases such as Mérimée.

The castles of this region, often linked to local history, served as residences for noble or bourgeois families. They played a central role in the social and economic organization of the surrounding territories, sometimes hosting agricultural or administrative activities. In the case of the castle of Nailly, the archives mention its succession to two families: the Roussel de Courcy, then, after 1923, the Liotard-Vogt.
