Origin and history
The Château de Savères is a listed historical monument built in the 17th century in the commune of Savères, in the Haute-Garonne region of Occitanie. The building is characterized by a brick architecture, with a one-storey central body and two lateral wings. The windows, adorned with cruciform sills, have statures alternating with stone and brick, typical of the buildings of that time.
The castle was partially protected: its two wings of the seventeenth century were inscribed in the Historical Monuments by order of 31 January 1927. Although sources mention an approximate location (13 Place du 11 novembre), geographical accuracy remains limited, with a note of 5/10 according to the Merimée base. No information is available on its current use (visits, rentals, accommodation).
The commune of Savères, attached to the department of Haute-Garonne and to the former Midi-Pyrénées region (now Occitanie), reflects an architectural heritage marked by the use of brick, a material common in this geographical area. The castle illustrates local constructive techniques and the influence of regional styles in the 17th century.
