Origin and history

The 15th century house in La Canourgue is a typical example of medieval civil architecture in Occitanie. Its stone facade is divided into two floors, separated by ground cornices. Each floor features two 15th-century windows. Originally, the house was part of a larger complex, including a plot extending to Saint Stephen's Square, as shown in the 1837 cadastre. In the 19th century, the southern part (present-day park 155) was dismembered and a new facade opened there.

The street of the City reveals a 16th century facade, built of cut stone and adorned with sculptural bays of the same period. A sculpture depicting a dog decorates the end of the banner separating the floors.
