Origin and history

Chaubuisson Manor is a former hunting relay built in 1893 in the Norman manor style, located in Fontenay-Trésigny, Seine-et-Marne. Close to the famous Vaux-le-Vicomte castle, it was originally inhabited by wood operators before being transformed into a Relais & Châteaux hotel in the 1950s. Today, it is dedicated to hosting business seminars.

The Domaine de Chaubuisson was once a seigneury under Louis XIII, donated in dowry by Jean Bazin, a bishop of Paris, to his daughter Anne during his marriage to Jean de Loynes in 1635. Under Louis XVI, the land belonged to Marie Adélaïde de Loynes, wife of François Auguste Leclerc de la Motte, captain of infantry. This place also inspired singer Michel Polnareff, who lived more than a year in the pavilion of the park called "White Snow".

The mansion embodies both aristocratic and cultural heritage, marked by its evolution from a seigneurial residence to a modern welcoming place. Its history reflects the social and economic transformations of the region, while maintaining links with emblematic figures such as Polnareff or the historic owners of the seigneury.
