Origin and history

The castle of Kéranno, located in the municipality of Graces (Côtes-d的Armor, Brittany), is a second seventeenth century building characterized by classical architecture. Built according to a square plan, it replaces an older home and stands out for its regular spans, granite cords, and five curved pediments. An adjacent building on the edge of the high garden once housed an orangery. Together, sober and harmonious, reflects the aesthetic cannons of the era.

The castle was marked by a notable historical episode: in 1691, he welcomed James II of England, king who had fallen during the Revolution of 1688, and who lived there briefly. In the 19th century, the private chapel of the estate was destroyed, leaving only the entrance gate, protected by a boom. The monument is officially listed in the Historic Monuments by order of November 18, 1965, recognizing its heritage value.

Available sources (Wikipedia, Monumentum) highlight its local and regional importance. The castle, identified under cadastre C 385, is located at 2 Keranno, 22200 Graces, with an estimated geographical accuracy of 6/10. Its current state (open to the public, services offered) is not documented in the source texts.
